On January 16,2010, more than 10.000 protesters marched on my jails to oppose mv enforcement of state and federal immieration laws.
Protesters brawled with and assaulted police. Demonstrators dressed in all black and wearing hoods to conceal their identity, threw bottles filled with rocks and attacked officers including a mounted officer and her horse. The mob then surrounded her and hit the horse with sticks.
The masked protesters screamed profanities and called for my assassination carrying signs that read “Assassinate Arpaio” and other violent messages – some so profane, I won’t bother repeating them here. That’s right. A group of so-called “human rights activists” predictably turned violent during their march on my jails to oppose my enforcing the laws of this state and our country’s laws to combat illegal immigration and human smugglers.
Besides the typical cast of open-borders activists and anti-Arpaio politicians, it now appears that the Hollywood Left is trying to get in on the act. This group of radical protesters was led by singer Linda Ronstadt.
Just what bnd of “human rights activists” publicly call for the assassination of an elected official- or the assassination of anyone for that matter? Who are these people? They’re anger and vitriol is clearly misdirected at me. If they don’t like the-raws of this state or the federal government’s policy on illegal immigration, then they need to work with their legislators to change the law. The biggest problem they have in taking that approach is that the citizens of the United States don’t want the laws changed and they certainly don’t support amnesty for those who break the law.
What they want is a Sheriff who will look the other way, be silent and allow the facade to continue, while ignoring the laws of our land. That, I promise, will never happen.
Maybe they’re painting the bulls-eye on my back because I am the only law enforcement official in this state enforcing all the laws that our federal and state legislatures put in place to combat illegal immigration and human smuggling.
This violent protest was just the latest in a series of political stunts aimed at getting me to back down from enforcing the law. From the showboating of the Rev. Al Sharpton who came to Phoenix paid for by left-wing groups to stir up support for the amnesty movement; to the shamefully-staged congressional hearings orchestrated by.open-borders politicians that have lied about my officers and their conduct.
Just last month, the U.S. Justice Department established a “Sheriff Joe Arpaio Hotline” for the sole purpose of soliciting people (so-called victims) to call and report so-called injustices and wrongdoings that my deputies are allegedly conducting. This is a blatant and transparent demonstration of the hollow shell of the Justice Department’s non-existent case against me. Further. it clearly shows the level of ouuight fraud on their part to bring baseless allegations against the very deputies that THEY THEMSELVES trained to atTest illegal aliens.
Shortly before that the Obama White House, through the Justice Department and Homeland Security Department under Janet Napolitano, took away my authority to make street arrests and detain illegal immigrants and human smugglers. I have defied that outrageous and irresponsible federal policy because it does nothing but tie the hands of law enforcement officers all across the country.
Since then, we have continued crime suppression operations in accordance with the Constitution of the United States and the laws of the State of Arizona. My office, in this short time span, has arrested 150 felony smugglers and caused the deportation of over 1.800 illegal aliens. This brings to a total of illegal aliens captured and deported to almost 35,000 in the last two years. This represents almost one-third of the total arrests and deportations in the entire United States; and more than all of the other 64 local law enforcement agencies combined.
The only reason they are doing this is to stop me from enforcing the laws of this state and our country.
Why? Why would they try to prevent me from anesting those who are breaking the law? It all comes down to AMNESTY. They want to so badly weaken laws against illegal immigration that they can establish automatic citizenship for those who cross our borders illegally. This is clearly supported by big business that thrives on cheap labor while American citizens go without jobs.
The rabid, open-borders crowd has gone completely berserk. In the last two years, I’ve been sued, picketed, had my life threatened, been burned in effigy, been beheaded in effigy.
But no matter what they come at me with, I’m not going to back down one inch. I took an oath of office to preserve and protect the constitutions of the United States and the State of Arizona. I will never relent. And I’m not going to surrender.
These left-wing groups and their allies in the media need to know just how strong the support is among law-abiding people like you for me and my policies. They are mounting an all out effort to remove me as Sheriff. including the latest talk of a recall campaign.
In fact. these extreme illegal-immigration apologists have now recruited one of their own to wage a political campaign against me. A candidate recently filed the necessary paperwork to run against me apparently because (as he says in his press release announcing his candidacy) that I have “turned away from crime prevention.” If that’s the case, then why has the crime rate dropped by 20%? Do you think it has anything to do with my office arresting and detaining more than 35,000 illegal aliens since 2007?
(Incidentally, the assistant secretary for the Immigrations and Custom Enforcement agency just informed the public that 69% of the illegal aliens my office turns over to federal law enforcement have been convicted of “serious felonv offenses. drug trafficking, assaults, rape.”)
So, now the REAL battle begins.
After almost fifty years in law enforcement, twenty five years as a federal law enforcement official with the US Justice Department and eighteen years as the elected Sheriff, I’ll have to begin preparing for the toughest re-election campaign of my life. The Hollywood Left, the Obama Administration, radical open-borders activists, politicians and every other extreme left-wing group out there that demands amnesty for those that break the law will stop at nothing to remove me from office.
Will you please stand with me and help me fight this fight? I desperately need your help now. My election has been targeted as the frontline in the battle to end illegal immigration. Pro-illegal immigration big business factions know that if rank and file police agencies across the United States start enforcing immigration laws, the well of illegal cheap labor that takes jobs from millions of unemployed Americans will dry up. Our economy has never been worse. We must win this battle.
Whether you live in Maricopa County or not, please understand that my efforts to stop the flow of illegal immigrants in this county affect your community as well. Maricopa County has become the premiere location for human smugglers to place illegal aliens in “drop houses” before they are picked up and sent elsewhere in our state or our country.

Sheriff Joe in his own way stopped Arizona, falling into the same bankruptcy quicksand as the SANCTUARY STATE of California. He must keep up his battle against the other wimpy police Dept and the open border zealots. America suffering from the illegal immigrant occupation
When President Obama assures the American people that he is going to secure the borders. What does that really mean to him and his progeny’s of Liberal-Socialist-Marxist extremists, who have his ear? It certainly doesn’t mean the original fences, initiated by Rep.Duncan Hunter. Not only is the fence far from the design originally conceived by this California lawmaker, but it doesn’t fit the specifications of The Secure Fence Act (Pub.L. 109-367) was enacted October 26, 2006. Now we have a single barrier, not the double layered fence that should have been enacted, with the open space reserved between the fences for rapid movement of policing the border. Even the Canadian border remains easy access to criminal and terrorists, and not forgetting Canadians who would prefer to illegally live in the US. There are hundreds of fire roads that are easily accessible, for anybody to cross the border with bombing material. Many places have just a phone for individuals to voluntarily explain their presence to the US border agents? Our country is open to attack and because our politicians refuse to acknowledge that citizens are in peril, it is sheer luck that a small nuclear devise hasn’t already been smuggled into a congested cities.
Neither previous or post governing parties have used the laws to place National Guard forces on the border, because loss of trade from our corrupt Southern neighborers who have impeded any sense of real security. Of late Mexican Senate wants President Felipe Calderon to send a message to the U.S. asking that plans to continue to protect its border against illegal immigration be dropped. If it wasn’t for public opinion and the rapt attention of thousands of blogger sentinels, Obama’s minions would have slowly forced upon us another negative immigration reform. Sure America needs the ultimate top scientific and technological labor, but we certainly need to rid this country of manual and low skilled workforce and illegal national families living off the US taxpayer. Sure many pay some taxes, but the majority only pay what they are confronted by every day, like items they buy and a gas taxes. That’s a sick joke when Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and a whole bunch of disguised ultra left liberals say that giving AMNESTY, will draw them out the shadows?
No way are they going to pay Federal or State taxes, when they can get free government entitlements. They are already hoping their children can sponge their way into Universities and colleges, when our own legal kids have to pay their way. Illegal immigrants learn the welfare system and how to get free emergency care in our hospitals. When you have no papers or identification our soft politicians cater to them over their own people. We like fools, ignore our seniors and our own desperate poor are hounded by debt collectors when the bills become due? They come across the border knowing our entitlement system will look after the whole family, including pregnant females who soak this country taxpayer by getting instant citizenship, instant low income housing and a host of other “Freebies” that our own people get turned away. The businesses that hire them, should pay every penny they stick the US taxpayers with? They have even expert knowledge of the tax system, so they can get IRS refunds for non-existent children in their country of origin. Billions of dollars that should go towards rebuilding our infrastructure, our health insurance corrupt health care system , our–OWN–children’s education.
This is–WHY–E-Verify must be fully funded, permanent and using the money to make the program a keystone of immigration enforcement. With the technology we have inherited today, we can mandate its use and hire the top computer engineers to perfect its ability, to deport every illegal immigrant in America. Not the 12 million facade that we have brain washed with, but the–REAL–number of somewhere between 20 and 30 unauthorized foreigners bleeding our nation dry. E-Verify in its second generation performance, could be used to drivers license irregularities, vehicle registrations, insurance fraud, along with house mortgages , health care and much more. Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) authored a new bill H.R. 4586 the Mortgage E-Verify Act. My bill will potentially save millions by cutting down on fraudulent claims from illegal immigrants and protect taxpayers from subsidizing the restructuring or renegotiation mortgages of illegal immigrants. Then every local police department should be funded to train its police in the 287 (G) program, with instruction to arrest and hand over to ICE. Then ICE should not be blocked by a wimpy Janet Napolitano, who has ordered the agents to slowly desist on immigration raids. Perhaps the inception of the “TEA PARTY” movement has an agenda to stop this absolute travesty of our immigration enforcement?
Hopefully their growing populace are not compromised by either the Republicans and Democrats in there haste to be recognized as a force against corrupt government. Just look to the State of California, that has been labeled a–SANCTUARY STATE–because its run by a horde of Democrats who are really liberals under their skin, that have pandered to the illegal alien occupation. Now the state is dead–BROKE–with not enough money to pay its bills. Yet still they are catering to the millions of illegal aliens imported from South of its border and many illegal families, that have packed up and left other less sympathetic states, where welfare entitlements are more strictly enforced. Arizona is following the leader, with other border states suffering under this ever increasing Overpopulation of the illegal immigrant variety.
Border Patrol Agents in the Tucson Sector in mid-October of 2009 and asked if they believe the official DHS statement that three illegal aliens successfully enter the United States for every one who is apprehended, they laughed. The reality, they said, is that 10 or more get through for every one who is caught. Any person who hasn’t been brain-washed by the Liberal press or a government with something to hide? Is fully aware that the idiotic numbers of the occupational illegal aliens and families, is hardly 12 million? Ask NUMBERSUSA or JUDICIAL WATCH, who estimate between 20 to 30 million illegal aliens in America. Which is a conservative figure.

“I I live and work in a border state overrun with illegals; they make more money having kids than we earn working full time. Today I had a 25 yr old with 8 kids ~ that’s right 8! All are illegal anchor babies, and she had the nicest nails, cell phone, hand bag, clothing. etc. She makes about $1500 monthly for each; do the math. I used to say “we are the dumbest nation on earth.” Now I must say and sadly admit, YOU are the dumbest people on earth (that includes me) for we elected the idiot ideologues who have passed the bills that allow this. Sorry ~ we need a revolution! Vote em all out in 2010!”

If an immigrant is over 65, they can apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a woman on Social Security, who worked from 1944 until 2004..
She is only getting $791 per month because she was born in 1924 and there’s a ‘catch 22’.
It is interesting that the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890. Each can also obtain an additional $580 in social assistance, for a total of $2,470 a month.
This compares to a single pensioner, who after contributing to the growth and development of America for 40 to 50 years, can only receive a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Maybe our pensioners should apply as refugees!
